Method

  • One rental search per city through POST /v1/listings/search with limit 500. The portal decides how many it returns, so the counts above are what came back, not the limit.
  • Read on 2026-10-27. Each row is a single reading; the sample is the portal's own default order, not a random draw.
  • Medians use listings priced in the city's main currency and rental period. A bedroom group needs at least 5 listings to be shown; the middle half is the 25th to the 75th percentile.
  • ImmoScout24, Imovirtual, Otodom count rooms instead of bedrooms, so those tables are headed "Rooms".
  • Price cuts are counted only where the portal marks them in the listing. Rightmove marks "Reduced on …" and Idealista gives a price drop; the other portals do not, and we do not guess.
  • Zillow Rentals returns buildings. The rent shown is the building's lowest rent and the bedroom count its smallest unit, so Austin reads lower than a typical unit.
  • Stockholm is missing because Hemnet lists sales only.
  • Dublin is missing: Daft.ie returned only 20 listings, too few for a median by bedroom count.
