Guides
Each guide starts with why scraping that portal yourself tends to break, then gets you from an empty folder to a CSV of live listings in one short Python script. The code was run before publishing, and the tables show what it returned.
- How to get Zillow listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Austin homes for sale under $450,000 with three or more bedrooms. Zillow closed its public API years ago. Official data now runs through Bridge Interactive, which wants an MLS membership or a signed data agreement, and approval takes weeks.
- How to get Rightmove listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Manchester flats to rent, with the letting agent's name and phone number. Rightmove has no API for reading listings. Its Real Time Data Feed is for agents and their software to upload their own properties.
- How to get Idealista listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Madrid flats to rent, with size, rooms and the advertiser. Idealista has an official search API, but a key is given by hand after you describe your project.
- How to get ImmoScout24 listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Berlin flats to rent, with rent, rooms and size. ImmoScout24 has an official REST API, but searching all listings needs a separate "Content Partner" permission. A normal key only reads the listings of the customer who authorised it.
- How to get Redfin listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Miami homes for sale under $600,000, with the listing agent. Redfin has no public or partner API for listings. Its only official data product is the Data Center: free downloads of aggregate market figures, not individual homes.
- How to get Zumper listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Austin apartments under $2,000 a month, with the leasing office's phone number. Zumper has no API for reading listings. Its official integration is an inbound feed that landlords and syndication partners use to send listings to Zumper.
- How to get Bayut listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Dubai flats to rent, with the agent's name, phone and brokerage. Bayut has no public API for reading listings. Agencies publish through an XML feed from their CRM, which Bayut reads; nothing flows the other way.
- How to get Daft.ie listings in Python
Ends with a CSV of Dublin rentals with price, bedrooms and the advertiser. Daft.ie has an official API, but its keys are for estate agent accounts and come through a Daft account manager; there is no public signup.
The other portals
The same request works for all 17 portals: change source and location. The portal list shows which of them have an official API, and the docs list every field.
